This project focused on replacing the aging roof with a complete asphalt shingle system, improved drainage details, dependable ventilation, and stronger fastening suited to a high wind area.

The existing roof had reached the point where replacement was the right long-term option. The new system needed strong eave and valley protection, clean metal detailing, reliable attic ventilation, and proper fastening for the exposed site conditions.

We removed the existing roofing, reviewed the deck, installed upgraded underlayment and StormShield protection, completed the valley and edge metal details, added new ventilation, and installed the shingles with a six-nail pattern.

The finished roof brings together straight shingle lines, consistent exposure, upgraded ventilation, proper metal detailing, and stronger high-wind fastening. The result is a clean exterior finish supported by practical waterproofing and drainage improvements underneath.

Tear-off and deck preparation
The existing roof was removed so the deck could be checked and prepared for the new system. Ice and Water Shield was installed at the eaves and valleys, with gutter apron and drip edge used where appropriate to strengthen the roof edge.
Valley installation
The valleys were protected along their full length to support controlled drainage in one of the roof’s highest water-volume areas. This gives runoff a dependable path and helps protect the deck beneath the shingles.
Shingles, metal, and finish work
IKO Cambridge shingles were installed with straight lines, consistent exposure, clean cuts, and open cut valleys. The roof was finished with the ridge system, ventilation details, edge metal, and final cleanup.

Open cut valleys
Proper open cut valleys were completed with 26 gauge W metal flashing to improve water flow, strengthen the drainage path, and support better long-term performance.
Protected rake edges
Drip edge was installed along all rakes to protect the fascia and roof edge from water ingress, helping direct water away from exposed wood and finished trim.
Ventilation and safe access
New WeatherPro 50 vents were installed, the furnace stacks were painted, and permanent tie downs were added to support safer future roof maintenance.
